# Turning AI adoption into measurable, repeatable practice

## Summary

At ActiveCampaign, Austen Tucker-Crowder led AI enablement and transformation work across engineering, product, and leadership. The work paired adoption goals and operating metrics with practical, accessibility-first learning experiences.

## Austen's role

Senior Program Owner focused on AI enablement and transformation.

## Context

ActiveCampaign, June 2025–September 2026. Product-manager roadshow in March 2026.

## Evidence

- Agentic-coding adoption moved from roughly 2% to 43% of merge requests across the broader transformation work.
- Austen led a hands-on product-manager roadshow across three continents.
- Product managers began producing prototypes of their own after the roadshow.

The adoption metric reflects broader organizational work. Austen contributed to that result; the training program alone is not claimed as the cause.

## What Austen owned

Austen led the Devin adoption effort, including goals and KPI measures; owned the hands-on product-manager roadshow; and built tools for shared program state and AI-response evaluation.

## What Austen built

- Practical learning experiences around Cursor and agentic AI.
- Wavelength, an MCP-enabled artifact containing tasks, RAID-log items, and program state.
- Claude skills and Langfuse evaluation prompts for daily operations and assessment of agent-response quality.

## What changed

The recurring operating pattern was permission to experiment paired with a way to inspect the result. That helped turn novelty into repeatable practice.

## Principle

People do not need permission to be experts. They need permission to try.
